The Gigabyte B365 M Aorus Elite Micro ATX motherboard has two PCIe x16 slots, one of which is connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. The other slot is connected with four lanes. The board has a PCIe-x1 slot for additional plug-in and expansion cards.

The two M.2 slots connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes support the NVMe protocol and, in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD, enable a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB / s. This is about eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G! A slot can also be used with M.2 SATA SSDs. Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports.
