The Edifier R1850DB offer a rich sound with 35 watts of power each. The speakers are equipped with 19 millimeter silk dome tweeters and 4-inch bass drivers. The housings of the two loudspeakers are made of MDF and minimize acoustic resonances. The slightly backward-sloping design with an angle of 10 degrees is particularly advantageous when the listener is above the loudspeakers, for example at the desk.

The controls are located on the back of the main loudspeaker with the integrated amplifier: Three rotary controls allow you to adjust the bass and tremble. The third rotary knob is used to select the signal source. Various audio sources can be connected via the two cinch inputs, the optical TOSLINK connection and the coaxial input. In addition, the loudspeakers with Bluetooth 4.1 offer the option of wireless sound reproduction.

A special feature of the Edifier R1850DB is the ability to connect a separately available, external subwoofer to convert the 2.0 speaker system into a 2.1 speaker system. The supplied remote control enables convenient operation from the sofa.
