Externally, the lightweight Edifier H880 already looks chic and follows modern design features with sporty shapes. The aluminum temples and trims are striking, with red and black plastic markings to mark the left and right sides. Because the padding of the ear cups is slightly thinner on the front than on the back. This contributes to the very high wearing comfort of the headphones, which also includes the padded headband and the adjustable and tiltable ear cups with synthetic leather cover, with which the H880 can be adapted to almost any head shape. The auricles can be folded inwards. This means that the entire headphone can be stowed in the enclosed fabric bag to save space.

The rich sound comes from two 40 millimeter neodymium magnets, which deliver a full sound pressure level of 100 dB in the frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Even at high volume, the sound remains clear and differentiated with not too excessive bass. Two 3.5-millimeter jack cables are included with the headphones. One with a length of 2.5 meters is intended for pure music enjoyment in an armchair or office chair. The other has an inline control for the volume and is suitable for use on mobile devices. An adapter for 6.25 jack sockets is also included, for example for connecting to a stereo system.
