Power Supply with 80 Plus Gold Efficiency and Powerful 54 A Single Rail

Cougar packs modern technology including DC-DC down-conversion for the +5- and +3,3 Volt rail into the particularly compact 15 cm deep housing. This type of voltage conversion makes the GX-F series power supplies particularly flexible: If required, almost the entire rated power can be called up on the +12 Volt rail. The 650 Watt model can therefore consistently provide up to 648 Watts for the CPU and graphics card. If the +3,3- and +5 Volt rails are required, up to 130 Watts can be supplied. GX-F power supply units can therefore produce the full rated power no matter the load case scenario - even with an ambient temperature of 50 degrees Celsius.

Cougar attaches particular importance to the noise produced by mid-range and high-end power supplies. After all, your gaming experience should never suffer because of how loud your power supply is - especially in games where a quiet and stealthy approach is of utmost importance. The supplied 135 mm fan utilises quiet hydrodynamic plain bearings and is controlled via an advanced fan controller. Under load load the fan can spin at less than 550 RPM and thus remain virtually inaudible.
