With the very powerful DDR4 RAM Racks of the Dominator Platinum series, Corsair explicitly addresses users who are looking for something special. High-end performance combined with special features and outstanding optics. The modules with hand-picked chips and the specially patented DHX cooling ("Dual Path Heat eXchange") in the form of black heat spreaders with an aluminum structure are ideally suited for use with high-end motherboards - e.g. Intel X99 - to work together.

Regarding design, Corsair has done everything right with the Dominator Platinum modules. In addition, there are adjustable light effects through the built-in light rails. The excellent heat spreaders ensure optimized heat transfer. The modules are hardly more than handwarm and are predestined by the selected chips practically for overclocking tests. The modular heat spreader can be reduced in height by removing the top bar. Low CL18-19-19-39 latencies provide superbe performance at 3,600 MHz.

The integrated "light bars" can be exchanged and thus individually adapted to the look of the PC. In addition, the Platinum DDR4 memory is compatible with the so-called Corsair-Link. This makes it possible to connect the memory to the airflow cooler included in the scope of delivery and to operate system monitoring, for example, to read out the temperatures in real-time.

Because it is a large set of two 4GB modules (8GB total capacity), the bars were tested for compatibility with each other to ensure the best possible performance. They offer an automatic overclocking function on compatible boards through Intel's XMP-2.0 technology (Extreme Memory Profile). The 3.600 MHz is reached at 1.35 volts, so there is still enormous potential to drive both clock rate and latencies to peak performance.

More power through additional Dominator Airflow Platinum LED fans

The included "Dominator Airflow Platinum" module comes with two PWM fans, which can be controlled by the Corsair Link from the Windows desktop in their speed. In addition, it is possible to freely adjust the LED illumination of the module to your own system or, for example, to display fan speed, ambient or even GPU temperature via different lighting colors. 16.8 million colors are available for this purpose.
