Micro ATX enclosure with two-chamber design
With this case Corsair breaks again with traditional conventions and introduces the cube shape in two-chamber housings into the compact area for Micro ATX and Mini ITX boards. Where ordinary mini cases turn out a little higher and lower, the Crystal 280X, with a modest 27.6 cm, is still rather broader. This is due to the dual-chamber construction, which also stands out from the outside. The two-part front consists on the left of a panel made of tempered glass, on the right hand side is the closed chamber.

The dual-chamber design of the Crystal 280X leaves the left-hand chamber dedicated to motherboards, expansion cards, fans, or radiators, while the right-hand compartment holds an additional two 3.5-inch HDDs and three 2.5-inch SSDs and a power adapter can. Of course, enough room remains for cable management.

Great Airflow & a pre-installed 120mm fan
The advantage lies in an almost unhindered airflow in the left area, where the air can flow from the tastefully designed front behind the staggered toughened glass to the rear as well as through the bottom and lid. Mainboard (Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX), CPU- Cooler or graphics card optimally cool. To keep dust out, magnetic dust filters are attached to the front, top and bottom.

Corsair has factory-fitted a 120mm fan on the front. Additional 120 or 140 copies are possible in the lid, the bottom and on the right side. The micro-ATX cube is also extremely attractive for Wakü friends. A dual radiator of up to 280 mm can be used at the front and an additional 280 or 240 can optionally be added to the top and bottom.

Small space wonder
Whatever the life of the main chamber, in any case a great presentation is provided. The left side of the case with Tempered Glass windows offers a breathtaking view of the built-in hardware. Incidentally, the glass panes can be removed without tools. The same goes for the 3.5-inch drives, the four PCI bezels and most of the other components.

The two 3.5-inch drive bays are located in the left-hand chamber and can be accessed from the outside. The three 2.5-inch drive frames are easily accessible after removing the left side panel. Ideally, all cables and possibly water cooling hoses are routed through the rubberized openings of the mainboard tray, which at the same time separates both case areas. In the right, locked half, the more cable-intensive components get lost anyway. For optimum cooling, a fan up to 140 mm in size can also be installed here.

The rest of the right area is clean on the outside. Black coated steel surfaces elegantly nestle against the tempered glass lined left area. On the upper right side, there are two USB 3.0 ports in addition to audio sockets and power and reset buttons Corsair's Micro ATX cube.
