Clearly the latter belongs to the Hydro Series H100i Platinum. The main advantage of the Platinum version over the other Corsair Hydro series is the chic RGB LED illumination of the heatsink and fans.

All compact WaKü systems combine the basic design: they consist of two parts - the radiator and the heat sink. The radiator of the H100i Platinum SE is mounted together with the two included fans on two 120 fan slots, preferably on the front of the case or in the lid. The cooler itself finds place on the CPU. The pump and the expansion tank are already installed in the radiator housing. Since it is a closed circuit, the system does not need to be filled and maintained.

The bottom of the heatsink absorbs the waste heat from the processor and, thanks to the copper bottom plate, efficiently transfers it to the water. This is in turn transported by the pump in the direction of the radiator, where the cooling liquid flows through a fine lamellar structure and releases the heat to the air flowing through. The fan in turn ensures that the radiator is constantly supplied with fresh air.

Fan and RGB LED lighting
The H100i Platinum SE features two high-performance white fans with addressable RGB LED lighting: Two Corsair LL120 RGB Dual Light Loop 120mm PWM fans are included in the white Platinum Special Edition. These are optimized for high static pressure, which is important for operation with a radiator. In addition, specially designed wings offer a better balance between static pressure and noise level and thus higher performance with less noise than ordinary fans.

With the Corsair iCUE software, the temperature of the processor and coolant can always be monitored, the speed of the fans and pump can be controlled accordingly, and the cooling capacity can be adjusted accordingly. The software also allows the setting of different color effects in the pump and fans. Each LED can be individually controlled, but the pump has a total of 16 RGB LEDs. The pump and fan combine to create breathtaking and easily customizable lighting effects in all imaginable colors with a total of 48 RGB LEDs.

Compatibility with enclosures and sockets
For reasons of space, tower coolers can usually not be used, especially in compact housings. In the case of the H100i Platinum SE, however, only the flat cooler needs to sit directly on the CPU. The radiator can be installed quite freely at an appropriate slot, taking into account the hose length.

The mounting system of the H100i Platinum SE is suitable for the sockets 115x, 2011/2066, AMD AM3 (+) / AM2 (+), AM4 and TR4. The tool-free magnetic mounting bracket in modular design ensures easy installation. Thermal compound is already applied to the radiator underside.
