Corsair Carbide 678C Midi-Tower - white Window [CC-9011170-WW]

Outside and inside, this chic case is held in white accented by a few black elements. The three preinstalled 140-millimeter fans already provide a good airflow from the factory. Fine dust filters ensure that no dirt gets into the computer. A rarity: The Corsair Carbide 678C has space for an external 5.25-inch drive. In addition to the ability to build a motherboard up to the E-ATX form factor, the tidy interior of the Corsair Carbide 678C offers enough space for additional gaming hardware. A total of nine disks can be obstructed, six 3.5-inch and three 2.5-inch drives can be mounted completely without tools. Of the drive cages for 3.5-inch drives with vibration dampers, Corsair adds four, which can be distributed in eight possible positions, just those two under the power supply cover and the six bays next to the motherboard tray. There is room for the 2.5-inch drives on the back of the mainboard tray. There is also an external slot for 5.25-inch drives, accessible through the open front door.

For the largest major components of a gaming PC, the Corsair Carbide 678C offers space for graphics cards up to 370 millimeters in length, power supplies up to 225 millimeters in length, and CPU coolers up to 170 millimeters in height. Graphics cards can also be installed vertically. The large recess in the mainboard tray allows the convenient assembly and disassembly of the CPU cooler and thus saves some frustration. In addition, there are a total of three large recesses in the interior of the Midi Tower, all of which can be used for optimal cable management. The three pre-installed dust filters on the front, lid and bottom offer optimum protection against contamination of the hardware and can be easily removed for cleaning.

Another special feature of the Corsair Carbide 678C is the sound insulation, which ensures that only a few noises from the housing penetrate to the outside. It is located in the front door, on the lid and on the right side panel. Of the eight 140 mm fan slots, three are occupied. One fan is in the front, one on the lid and one last on the single slot on the back. At the front either a second 140er or a total of three 120er fits. The lid has a total of three 120 mm or 140 mm fans space. Another 140 mm fan can be screwed to the floor, and if you do without the HDD cage located there, you can attach another one.

Alternatively, the Midi-Tower offers various mounting slots for radiators, which include a slot for a maximum of 280/360 mm radiators in the front. The rear panel can accommodate a single 120mm radiator, such as hybrid cooler graphics cards, while the lid can accommodate a heat exchanger up to 420mm in diameter, dispensing with the 5.25 "slot.
Subtle design, many functions

The Corsair developers set in the design of their tower clearly on a timeless and simple design that can be described without a doubt as tidy. The almost completely white housing is accentuated by black elements, such as the bezel of the tempered glass side door, the fan frame or the bezels of the PCI slots. The I / O panel of the case is located on the side of the lid and has a combined audio connectors, a power and reset button, a status LED and two USB ports in the 3.0 standard.
