Unlike many other chassis manufacturers, Cooler Master, despite the streamlined design, has paid attention to an outstanding airflow, which is routed vertically through the case in this case. That's why the MasterCase SL600M has a remarkably high base and the lid has discreet but effective side vents. This peculiarity also ensures that the SL600M is particularly quiet, because both the front and rear have virtually no openings. Add to that the rotatable PCI-Bracket: if it rotates 90 degrees, up to two graphics cards can be installed vertically. The case gets even more style through the covers made of smooth, sandblasted and anodized aluminum - a real treat for ambitious modders and design fans.

There is a lot of innovation under the eye-catching design. For the vertical airflow, the Cooler Master in the MasterCase SL600M has generously created space both on the floor and on the lid. It fits there each three 120-mm fans or alternatively two 140 or 200 fans out, which can be optionally replaced for radiators. It was completely dispensed with fan slots on the front and on the back. This ensures a more efficient vertical airflow, which is also passed directly to the graphics card. There are two removable dust filters on the bottom.

There is a PWM hub behind the motherboard tray. The preinstalled 200 mm PWM fans are connected to the floor there. Control is optionally via a slider on the I / O panel, which offers four speed levels. Alternatively, the PWM signal can be looped through from the mainboard. Two more 4-pin PWM fans can be connected to the PWM hub. It is powered by a SATA connector. For the cable management also left behind the motherboard tray enough space.
Up to two graphics cards vertically

When installing the graphics card, the MasterCase SL600M reveals another innovation: the backside PCI bracket rotates 90 degrees, transforming the standard layout of seven horizontal and two vertical slots into a 2 + 4 layout. Then you can install up to two graphics cards vertically next to each other. These may be up to 31.8 inches long. Thankfully, CoolerMaster has added a 20 cm riser cable to the case.
Generous interior with plenty of space for hardware
The MasterCase SL600M is designed to mount E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboards, with E-ATX boards measuring a maximum of 30.5 x 27 centimeters. The power supply is not installed as usual on the back of the case, but vertically above the front. There it is covered by a side panel. This allows Cooler Master to dispense with a power supply cover, which would otherwise interrupt the vertical air flow. In addition, there is also more space for graphics cards that are installed vertically. A power supply cable is routed to the back of the chassis.

Directly behind the front panel, two 3.5- or 2.5-inch drives can be attached using the supplied brackets. Another bracket is installed on the directly behind the mounted aperture, which also serves as a screen for the power supply. The bezel also comes with two independent mounts for 2.5-inch drives. Finally, a fourth 3.5- / 2.5-inch bracket fits the back of the case. For 2.5-inch SSDs, there are two other mounting options on the back of the motherboard tray. This allows a total of four 3.5-inch drives and / or eight 2.5-inch drives accommodate.

A lot of sense for details
The sidewall made of tempered glass is dark tinted and accentuates the apart-looking case. The front and lid are made of anodized aluminum, which is not brushed but sandblasted and thus gets a smooth surface. Both are arched laterally and nestle almost to the case. The lid is divided into two parts, the middle part lies either directly on the underlying mesh or can be lifted in two stages, for example to improve the airflow.

Between the front panel and the lid, the lavishly equipped I / O panel is housed, which in addition to the previously mentioned fan control slider, has two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 Type A slots. In addition, there is also a USB 3.1 slot type C with it. Of course there is an on-off switch and jack slots for headphones or microphones. In addition, there is a lighting for the USB slots, which is switched on via a proximity sensor.
