Cooler Master Silencio S400 Steel: flexible mini tower with sound insulation
Up to five case fans can be installed in the Cooler Master Silencio S400 Steel: 120 mm fans can easily be attached to the rear and two 120 or 140 mm fans to the front. There is space for a 120 or 140 model on the cover, by removing the 5.25-inch slot, a second fan can be attached to the housing cover. From the factory, the Silencio S400 Steel offers two pre-installed Silencio FP 120-millimeter-type fans, which are controlled by a PWM signal. There is space for a maximum of 167 millimeter high CPU cooler in the case.

The Cooler Master Silencio S400 Steel also offers several options for installing custom and full water cooling: a 120 radiator can be attached to the rear wall and the front is prepared for a 240 or 280 millimeter radiator. There is space for a 120 or 140 millimeter radiator on the lid; if the 5.25-inch cage is omitted, a 240 dual radiator can also be installed there.

Cooler Master Silencio S400 Steel: design and noise insulation
The no-frills housing offers clear shapes and smooth surfaces and is completely black inside and out. The mini tower has been developed with low operating noise in mind and is equipped with extensive vinyl and foam noise insulation that dampens vibrations and volume.

Both the side parts and the front door made of steel are insulated on the inside. The lid has a removable cover that can be removed for ventilation. There are dust filters in the front, in the bottom and in the lid. The front door can be mounted with the hinges on the left or right so that it pivots in the desired direction when opened. The I / O panel is located on the right side of the housing cover and contains two USB 3.0 ports, a combined audio port and an SD card reader.

Space for drives and components
The interior of the Cooler Master Silencio S400 Steel offers space for motherboards in Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX form factor and a total of four expansion slots, which can be used for graphics cards up to 319 millimeters long, for example. There is space for up to 140 millimeter long ATX power supplies under the power supply cover; even 325 millimeters without the removable HDD cage.

The HDD cage offers space for a total of three 3.5-inch drives. Two 2.5-inch SSDs can be installed on the back of the mainboard tray and on the power supply cover. The ODD cage offers space for a 5.25-inch drive and the possibility of mounting a 3.5-inch drive.
