The graphics performance of laptops is often slowed down by onboard graphics chips and dedicated graphics cards with low power consumption. Battery life and cooling system limit the performance of mobile graphics chips. With the Cooler Master MasterCase EG200, laptops can get a significant performance upgrade, at least at the desk.

The external graphics card housing is supplied with power via an integrated 550 W power supply unit and is therefore ideal for graphics cards that are hungry for power. Because the power supply is mainly used to power the graphics card. There is no CPU. Graphics cards with a maximum length of 32.5 cm are supported. The case and installed hardware are connected to the laptop via a Thunderbolt 3 port. This is a prerequisite because Thunderbolt 3 supports the PCI Express protocol.

Simple and space-saving
The Cooler Master MasterCase EG200 is kept in a simple black and with a volume of nine liters is designed so that it can be positioned on the desk. The laptop can be attached to the case using a vertical bracket to create even more space on the desk. The pre-installed 92 mm PWM fan ensures that the case is well cooled. The fan dynamically adjusts its speed to up to 2,600 rpm according to the case temperature.

The eGPU housing has three USB 3.0 A sockets on the back, which allow a data transfer of max. 5 Gbit / s. The USB hub is operated via an additional micro USB connection. In addition, the laptop's hard drive space can be expanded further thanks to an additional 2.5 / 3.5-inch slot for HDDs and SSDs. In addition to graphics cards, the PCIe slot is also compatible with other PCIe cards. Laptops and smartphones with up to 60 W can be charged via the Thunderbolt 3 port.
