Chieftec Scorpion: functional design with noble tempered glass components
The spacious Midi-Tower with its partially tool-less tempered tempered glass panels made of tinted toughened glass makes a good design case for the presentation of smart gaming hardware. In addition to the side window is also the front of tinted toughened glass and thus offers a unique insight on the hardware installed, which is subtly illuminated by the red LED lighting of the three fans. The lid contains the I / O panel with two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, HD audio ports and a power & reset button.

For the front, Chieftec has given the Scropion something very special: A colored digital display behind the tinted tempered glass indicates temperature, fan speed and time. Underneath are three switches that control the three fans. In addition, the housing is equipped with a temperature sensor that controls two of the fans depending on the temperature. Instead of the fans, a 240 mm radiator can be mounted behind the front.

A fourth fan can be installed on the back of the case, which also houses the seven PCI slots. There is also a standard ATX power supply under a cover his place. At the bottom there are two dust filters, which together cover almost the entire floor. One can be pulled out from the front, the other from the back and cleaned. Behind the power supply is a drive cage with room for two 3.5-inch drives, for two 2.5-inch drives is behind the motherboard space.
