This is a black nickel accounts for hoses with 3/8 inch or 10mm inside diameter. This may temporarily or permanently not required tube ends are sealed. Since a connector is installed, any thickness or tube outer diameterare used.

The conclusion itself is a screwed cap, which is screwed into a 1/4 inch thread and insulated by a gasket. If required, the threads are also used toconnect other components, including a normal male thread is sufficient with 1/4 inch.
