Since BitFenix introduced the miracle cube named Prodigy, the PC community has repeatedly asked a question: Is there a chic cube soon for the larger micro-ATX motherboards? For added, a super-compact mini-ITX system is something fine and can be amazingly powerful, but micro-ATX offers here and there but then smaller or larger benefits. Especially the way thanks to more PCI (e) slots accommodate even more expansion cards, pleased Audiophile (sound card), online gamers (network card) and graphics enthusiasts (CrossFire / SLI).

Visible external differences are only identify in the rear, where fan-slot I / O Shield recess and PCI slots are arranged differently, and it is noticeable that the two USB 3.0 ports along with audio jacks and function buttons have migrated from the right side piece to the left side panel. All measures that indicate what has been done in black also inside: Here is BitFenix mämlich everything once on the head, and that is to be taken literally! So the motherboard is with the PCI slots mounted to the top - and this also still open on the right side wall to the left seated tray.

An up to 16 cm long ATX power supply is also not behind as usual, but "standing" upright behind the front panel. On the mesh, the power supply directly draws fresh air with its forward facing fans that exhaust air from the PSU is then blown down to where the power supply back rests. Even with verbautem drive tray assembly including SSD still fit huge tower cooler (up to 16 cm in height) in the Prodigy and M are due to the underlying CPU socket on a very Airflow line with the rear fan. The upper area then find the card slots of the inverted micro-ATX or mini-ITX board, so the five PCI aperture at Prodigy M can also be found in the upper tail region. Here also two full height dual-slot graphics cards can be connected in a 2-way SLI or CrossFireX composite in addition to various expansion cards now, while the original Prodigy offers a total of only two PCI slots.

The maximum length is enormous VGA 32 cm, because graphics cards Prodigy M is available due to the unique clever interior design, the full space between the front and rear. Thus, this also applies to the top two expansion card slots, of course compromising on the half-length 5.25-inch external drive bay. But even if these are not removed, and the external drive slot, for example, uses a fan controller or card reader, is - depending on the device dimensions - still plenty of room for expansion cards available. Dust filter in the front cover and round the Prodigy M-Cube from designtes as first-class product.
