Modular interior design with many options for the user

This is another reason why the housing has a high potential for air or water cooling. The sumptuous features of high-quality materials and useful features round off the overall concept skillfully and make the Dark Base Pro 900 Rev. 2 the perfect hostel for high-end gaming systems, extremely overclocked systems or very quiet water cooling systems.

The chic Big-Tower accommodates motherboards in the form factors E-ATX, XL-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX, whereby the motherboard tray can be flexibly adjusted to the needs and individual requirements of the user. This means it is completely height adjustable. If necessary, it can even be removed completely and could serve as Benchtable. The ODD cage and the drive slots can therefore be completely customized, so that the user gets the complete freedom to decide on the internal structure in the Revision 2 of the Dark Base Pro 900.

Optional drive cages and plenty of space for drives
The storage of the drives has be quiet! in the further development of the Dark Base Pro 900 thoroughly revised. The pre-installed drive cages in the interior have completely disappeared and replaced by individual panels. These can be easily removed and replaced with a total of three individual drive cages, which are fastened without tools with knurled screws. These cages can fit either a 3.5-inch drive or two 2.5-inch SDDs. Two more HDD or four SDD drive bays are in a cage under the new power supply cover. Also behind the motherboard tray there is room for a 2.5-inch drive and even on the PSU Shroud can be a 2.5-inch drive mount, the required bracket is enclosed with the case.

The included accessories allow five 3.5-inch or twelve 2.5-inch drives to be accommodated in the Dark Base Pro 900 Rev. 2. With optional accessories, the number increases to seven 3.5-inch and sixteen 2.5-inch disks. The drives are installed without tools in the individual slots, which are completely decoupled via silicone anti-vibration rails and therefore prevent transmission of vibrations to the cages. Add to that the two 5.25-inch slots, even with large cases nowadays no more matter of course.

Due to the largely tidy interior, the space available in the Revision 2 of the Dark Base Pro 900 for the rest of the hardware is particularly abundant, because graphics cards can be installed up to a length of at least 327 mm. Three 140 mm SilentWings 4-pin PWM fans are pre-installed in the Dark Base Pro 900 Rev. 2, two on the front and one on the back. The speed of the fans has increased to a maximum of 1,600 rpm, but thanks to a low-vibration motor, a durable fluid-dynamic bearing and a fan frame with funnel-shaped air inlets, it remains extremely quiet. The Airflow concept of the Dark Base Pro 900 Rev. 2 Big Towers continues to rely on innovative noise-reducing air vents around the case for even more effective airflow control. To further increase the silent factor, the case also has complete insulation and decouplers on the motherboard tray, power supply tray and drives. To lower the noise even further, be quiet! For the Dark Base Pro 900 Rev. 2 Big-Tower, simply power the power supply into the middle of the floor and connect the external plug for the power connection with an extension cable.

The air cooling can also be expanded as desired. The lid can hold a maximum of four 120-mm fans, alternatively, but can also install 3x 140 or 1x 180er fan. The floor accommodates two 140mm or 120mm fans. Instead of the two pre-installed 140s can be installed in the front and two 120s. If you omit the ODD cage, the number increases to three each.

Of course, radiators for water cooling can also be installed at these locations. The front and lid provide space for a maximum of a 420 -mm radiator. On the back there is room for a 140er radiator. Of course, several smaller radiators can also be installed instead of the larger one.

Thanks to the integrated PWM hub and manual fan control, a maximum of eight 4-pin PWM fans can be controlled. The board is divided into two separate zones. This allows each four fans by switch in the silent (from 400 to 1040 rpm) or performance mode (800 to 1,600 rev / min) operate, or leave the speed regulation in auto mode completely the motherboard.
