In addition to this impressive combination of performance features, the speed of the Silent Wings 2 PWM fans can be controlled via the motherboard. When connected to a PWM port of a motherboard or fan controller, the fan speed and hence performance and noise emission can be adjusted as needed.

With the pulse width modulation (PWM), the fan speed and hence performance as well as noise emission can be controlled intelligently 4.Pin via a fan controller (as used in many motherboards). PWM with your computer can increase cooling power as needed or may run as quietly as possible when it is permitted
