Arctic F14 PWM PST CO Fan - 140mm [ACFAN00080A]

With its low-cost F-series, Arctic offers a traditional frame design, which is used universally in housings and coolers. The special feature is, however, the design of the fan blades. While conventional models rely on seven blades, nine are installed here. This allows a higher delivery volume at the same speed and therefore a similar volume.

As a result, the 140mm fan scales up to 126 m³ / h, the speed can vary between 600 and 1,350 rpm, producing a maximum volume of 0.3 Sone.

The actual core feature is the so - called PST - PWM Sharing Technology. This allows the connection of additional PST fans from Arctic (only the last fan of the series can be any PWM model). For this purpose, the fan has a branch so that a successively linked row with a maximum of five fans is possible. Only the first fan of the chain is connected to the mainboard. The PWM signal is used to control all series-connected fans.

On the one hand, this offers the advantage that the PWM function can be used for more fans than the existing mainboard connections would actually allow. On the other hand, the connections on some boards are sometimes difficult to achieve, so that this series circuit does not require separate extensions.

The color of the fan is somewhat more discreet than with the other F14 fans of Arctic and presents itself with black frame as well as black fan blades. In contrast to other low-cost fans, Arctic has a high-quality double ball bearing, which means that the fan, combined with the CO technology (continuous operation), has a five-fold longer service life than comparable case fans. This not only ensures a quiet operation, but also ensures that the volume does not increase over time. With an enormous guarantee period of six years, this information is not only promised.
