The manufacturer Aqua Computer is now expanding its series. The aquadrive micro is a particularly compact model for one to two 3.5 inch drives. In the copper version, performance and optics enter into a perfect symbiosis.
Almost wastefully worked with this HDD cooler with the precious raw material copper. The aquadrive is milled from a full copper plate. Thus, the cooler is at the same time quite difficult, since copper has a high density. The most important advantage of this material choice is the extremely good heat conduction. Even hot spurs such as raptors or fast-spinning SCSI drives remain cool, which also ensures a long service life. The flow resistance is relatively low, since the channels were designed with 16mm very wide.
The cooler with 6mm (without connection terminal) is particularly flat, which allows a high compatibility. At the same time, the aquadrive micro offers the possibility of using both sides as cooling surfaces, thus cooling two drives at the same time. For this purpose, the set includes a small wrench to allow laterally tightening.
Nevertheless, this use would be almost too good for visual reasons, because especially the front looks with the cleanly incorporated stainless steel plate extremely noble and decorated thus appreciably enhances any interior.
Due to the connection terminal, two IDE hard drives can not be combined because the ports of one of the HDDs would be obscured. As a result, either two SATA or one SATA and one IDE drive can be combined. This rule does not apply if the housing allows the cables to be led from both sides. The required standard screws are not included.
