Compact dimensions, high performance
The Alpenföhn Brocken ECO Advanced is more than just an upgrade of the popular Brocken ECO, which already impresses with an excellent price-performance ratio. With a slightly larger cooler and a more powerful fan, Alpenföhn was able to increase the efficiency of the Brocken ECO Advanced to a whopping 170 watt TDP.

The still compact dimensions of the Brocken ECO Advanced are not only a price argument, they also meet all those who do not have that much space available in their cases for an expansive tower cooler. The fan, which is designed for the 120 mm format, also contributes to this, so that the ECO Advanced and its fan are only 14.9 cm protrudes into the case. A total of four heat pipes form the contact between the base plate and the heat sink with its aluminium fins. Heat pipes and base plate, on the other hand, are made of copper, which is nickel-plated for optical reasons. This does not affect the cooling performance, which is proven by the high TDP.

Optimal format, efficient fan
The 6 mm heat pipes are once again embedded directly into the base plate using the "gapless HDT" method for optimal heat transfer between the processor and cooler. On the heat sink itself, the trained eye immediately recognizes that there is a chunk in front of him, because the basic shape with two lamellar towers standing next to each other is retained and the arrangement of the fins in - predominantly - groups of three has been adopted and combines a lot of heat dissipation area with good airflow properties, the allows a fan to operate at a lower speed.

At the Alpenföhn Brocken ECO Advanced. There is also the ingenious innovation of easily moving the double tower in one direction. With this asymmetrical design, the four heat pipes protrude so high that the heat sink is not exactly centred above the base plate, but is slightly offset to the rear. In this way, on most mainboards on the market not a single RAM slot is blocked by the cooler and not even the first PCI-Express slot, even if the fan - as usual - is mounted at the front and thus blowing in.

Including Wing Boost 3 fan
As a fan, Alpenföhn includes a state-of-the-art representative from the revised Wing Boost 3 series, which thanks to the new angle of incidence of the fan blades with significantly higher volume flow, total pressure and exit speed at the same speed is completely convincing.

A firmly integrated guide wheel in the fan frame significantly increases the static pressure and reduces the swirl in the outlet flow. The result is a further optimization of the radial flow component and a resulting noise reduction, because the flow is not broken hard when the air flow hits the aluminium fin. There is also a PWM connection including a Y branch. Up to three additional PWM fans can be connected to a single slot on the mainboard.

High compatibility with common bases
On top of that, the Alpenföhn Brocken ECO is compatible with all current motherboard sockets from AMD (AM2 / AM2 +, AM3 / AM3 +, AM4, FM1 / FM2 / FM2 +) and Intel (775, 1150/1151/1155/1156, 1200, 1366, 2011, 2011- V3, 2066) compatible and easy and safe to mount thanks to the "RockMount 2" system.
