Overview

This power supply unit to supply systems based on smaller motherboards in Thin Mini-ITX format is designed as an external PSU. The connection to the mains via a supplied three-pole C5 IEC cable. The adapter itself is connected by a barrel connector with the matching mainboard. The voltage conversion for the additional components of the computer takes place completely on the motherboard.

The Akasa-AC adapter is designed for up to 84 watts of power and provides up to seven amps at +12 volts. The performance is adequately dimensioned for economical systems with motherboards in small thin mini-ITX form factor. The needs of more demanding configurations with dedicated graphics card are not met.

The power supply is the ideal complement to a Thin Mini-ITX mainboard, which is used in a compatible Thin Mini-ITX enclosure series Cypher, Galileo or Euler of Akasa. With this combination and economical hardware can be so inexpensive configure extremely quiet to silent computer. The Akasa PSU comes suitable for use in the office and living room completely fanless.
