Because with the approximately 40 cm long, black cable from Akasa you convert the connector (USB 3.1, 19-pin, male) from the motherboard into a USB 3.0 connector (19-pin, male). In addition, another connection cable can be connected to a USB 2.0 port to ensure backward compatibility of connected devices to USB 2.0. The cable achieves the maximum possible transfer rates of 5 GBit / s via USB 3.0.
