The Plato X7 is an ideal housing for the Intel C (UCFF 4 "X 4") board.

Can be so tiny as really a computer? This is probably the first question, which one is at Intel's NUC motherboards. And the straightforward answer is yes, even with already integrated, powerful CPU. Finally, it is a matter of firing its display with high-performance components. A completely different one, however, to realize the whole thing on a tiny miniature system.

The Plato-X7 housing from Akasa has been developed for the same systems, which can either be used flat or directly on VESA-Mounts of the monitor. Specially designed for the NUC boards, it is very space-saving and, above all, flat-shaped, but, in addition to these purely practical aspects, it also brings a very noble look to the table or behind the monitor.

A front of brushed aluminum makes the black Akasa Plato X7 a discreet, yet stile, contemporary, which also fits perfectly as a HTPC dwelling into any HiFi landscape. The front panel is broken only by two USB 3.0 ports, the obligatory power button, a round window for an IR receiver, an audio port, two status LEDs and two small holes for a microphone array.

The outer edges are completely provided with aluminum cooling ribs, which makes sense that the housing itself is the cooler and does not require a fan. This means that the NUC system works completely silent in the Akasa Plato X7. For this, the SoC chip of the mainboard and a contact surface of the housing come into direct contact.

VESA mounting screws, mainboard screws, rubber feet and all the necessary cables and accessories are included in the scope of supply in order to commission the minisystem (external power supply must be purchased separately) and at a VESA place. Via the Heatsink plate, the waste heat then flows uniformly into the housing and is delivered to the ambient air via the slats - absolutely silent!
