The Lokstor M25 is mounted in a free 3.5 inch housing slot for external drives and connected via cable (Molex and SATA) with power supply and mainboard.

Once connected, the cradle can be used as a docking station, which means that the 2.5-inch drive (which can not be higher than 9.5 mm) can be easily pushed in and then rest on a high-quality and stainless steel -Sheet.

When the user presses the bezel, the SSD or HDD locks by connecting the power and data to the SATA connector on the rear end of the drive and automatically logging the drive to the system. (If it supports hot-swap technology).

To eject the drive, a short handle is sufficient and a spring mechanism is activated to open the shutter and push the drive out of the back contacts. To prevent unwanted removal of the 2.5-inch drive, the lever can be locked using the supplied key.

Once a drive is installed, a small LED light indicates its activity. Fortunately, the Lokstor M25 supports all SATA standards from SATA I via SATA II to the modern SATA 6G with a transmission rate of up to 6 Gbps and therefore does not slow down fast SSDs and hard disks unnecessarily.
