The ASUS TUF B360M-E Gaming mATX motherboard has a PCIe x16 slot connected to the chipset with a full 16 lanes. For plug-in and expansion cards, the board has two PCIe x1 slots.

The M.2 slot, which is connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes, supports the NVMe protocol, enabling a data transfer rate of just under 4 GB / s in combination with a corresponding M.2 SSD. This is about eight times faster than a SATA 6G connected SSD! Additional drives such as SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports.
