Radeon RX 560 O4G EVO with Factory OC & Single-Fan Cooler Design

The efficient Polaris 11 GPU of the Radeon RX 560 contains 16 Compute Units with a total of 1.024 Shader Units. The GPU of the Radeon RX 560 O4G EVO from ASUS reaches a boost clock of, on average, 1.187 MHz in Gaming Mode. OC mode enables this to be increased to 1.197 MHz. The 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM is clocked at 6.000 MHz (1.500 MHz) and is connected via a 128-Bit memory interface to the GPU to ensure robust performance.

With this dual-fan cooler design from ASUS the copper heatpipes are laid directly atop the GPU. The heat transferred into the aluminium fins is exhausted with the help of two fans. Should the GPU not be placed under full load, less cooling is required and as a result the fans are turned down or switched off completely. This enables the quietest possible operation of the graphics card.

Thanks to the efficient 14 nm FinFET manufacturing process and far-reaching developments in control, power saving, and clock rate technologies, the Radeon RX 560 provides impressive performance with a low 80 Watt TDP. The reason for this is its 14 nm technology that allows more transistors to fit into a smaller surface area while reducing energy requirements.

The modern 4th gen Graphics Core Next Architecture (GCN 4.0) supports useful features such as a command processor, a geometry processor, new multimedia cores, an optimised display engine as well as an improved memory controller. Some of the additional supported technologies include Async Compute, Vulkan, DirectX 12 and AMD's FreeSync technology.

Displays can be connected via three inputs, Display Port, HDMI, or DVI-D Dual-Link. EyeFinity technology allows three screens to be connected in a multi-display setup to the graphics card. The HDMI connector utilises the 2.0 standard and displays resolutions up to 4K/UHD at 60 Hertz and provides HDCP 2.2 for sending and receiving protected content. Display Port 1.4 even allows for 8K/UHD at 60 Hertz.
