The ASUS ROG Strix B450-F II Gaming ATX motherboard has two PCI Express 3.0 slots with full x16 connection (x16 or x8 / x4) for graphics cards as well as a PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot with four lanes . The mainboard provides three PCIe x1 slots for additional expansion cards. The four RAM banks support up to 128 GB DDR4 main memory with a clock rate of up to 3,200 megahertz and can even handle clock rates of up to 4,400 MHz via OC. With a Ryzen 3000 processor (Matisse) a maximum of 128 GB is possible.

The AM4 mainboard provides two M.2 slots. One of the slots is connected with four PCI Express lanes and accepts plug-in cards up to 110 mm (22110), the other can be equipped with smaller 2280 M.2 plug-in cards and is also connected with the SATA6G protocol. M.2 SSDs with the advanced NVM Express protocol (NVMe) and a connection via four PCI Express 3.0 lanes are up to eight times as fast as SATA 6G hard drives and support data transfer rates of up to 32 Gbit / s.

The ASUS ROG Strix B450-F II Gaming provides a USB 3.0 port with a Type-C socket and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports on the I / O panel.
