The ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A Gaming is an ATX motherboard and has a PCI Express 4.0 slot with full x16 connection for graphics cards plus a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot with four lanes. The mainboard provides three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for additional expansion cards. The four RAM banks support up to 128 GB DDR4 main memory with a clock rate of up to 3,200 megahertz and can even handle clock rates of up to 5,100 MHz via OC.

The AM4 mainboard provides two M.2 slots for drives up to 110 mm in length (22110). One slot is connected to the processor with four PCI Express lanes and supports PCIe 4.0 and SATA 6G.
