The ASUS ProART Z490-CREATOR 10G mainboard in ATX form factor offers three PCIe-x16 slots and two PCIe-x1 slots for plug-in and expansion cards. Two x16 slots are connected with a full 16 lanes, the third with four lanes. As a high-end motherboard, the ASUS ProART Z490-CREATOR 10G also supports multi-GPU setups via AMD Crossfire / XDMA. Other features of the mainboard also include a striking cooler design and integrated RGB LED lighting. Three headers for RGB strips allow the connection of further RGB LED components.

Up to 128 GB DDR4 RAM in dual-channel mode can be used in the four DIMM slots. The Z490 chipset supports clock rates up to 2,933 MHz, but the OUS enables the ASUS ProART Z490-CREATOR 10G to operate RAM kits with up to 4600 MHz! Two M.2 slots for PCIe / SATA-M.2 SSDs and six SATA-6G connections enable data storage media to be connected. Both M.2 slots are connected to the chipset with four PCIe lanes and support the NVMe protocol, which enables data transfer rates of just under 4 GB / s. The ASUS ProART Z490-CREATOR 10G has two USB 3.1 / Thunderbolt 3 ports with a Type-C socket on the I / O panel. This innovative USB Type-C port is particularly thin and can be inserted on both sides.
