The ASUS Prime B560M-K in detail
The ASUS Prime B560M-K is an Intel B560 motherboard in the Micro-ATX form factor and provides a PCIe x16 slot for expansion cards. This is connected directly to the CPU with a total of 16 lanes and supports PCIe 4.0. There are also two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots for expansion cards.

random access memory
The two DIMM slots support up to 64 GB DDR4 memory. The B560 chipset supports clock rates of up to 2,933 MHz natively. However, the ASUS Prime B560M-K also enables the operation of RAM kits up to 5,000 MHz via OC.

Drives
The ASUS Prime B560M-K offers two M.2 slots for fast NVMe SSDs. One of them is connected directly to the CPU with 4 lanes and supports PCIe 4.0. However, it only works when using a Rocket Lake S CPU. The other M.2 slot is connected to the chipset via PCIe 3.0 and also works with 10th generation Intel CPUs. Six SATA 6G connections are available for additional SSDs, hard disks and optical drives.

Danger! The top M.2 slot (M.2_1) only works in combination with Intel Core CPUs of the 11th generation "Rocket Lake-S" and is deactivated for processors of the 10th generation "Comet Lake".

USB, network and sound
The ASUS Prime B560M-K has four USB 3.0 ports (type A) with 5 Gbit / s and two USB 2.0 ports on the I / O panel. In addition, the mainboard is equipped with a LAN with 1 GBit / s (Intel I219-V) for fast data transfers. The integrated Realtek ALC897 audio codec provides rich 7.1 surround sound.
