The RTX 2080 Ti TU102-300 graphics chip manufactured using the 12 nm FinFET process is based on the Turing architecture and is responsible for the speed boost over the 10 series in addition to the GDDR6 graphics memory. Supported ray-tracing technology provides very realistic light and shadow effects and is the reason for changing the name in GeForce RTX.

The base clock of the ASUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Dual O11G is at 1,350 MHz, but with a high load, the graphics chip automatically increases the clock rate via GPU Boost 4.0 to up to 1,545 MHz boost clock. The innovative GDDR6 video memory clocks at 7,000 MHz (effectively 14,000 MHz), while the capacity of 11 GB VRAM make gambling at 4K resolution or virtual reality a real pleasure.

ASUS has also worked on the radiator design: the production of the bottom of the heat sink has been further refined, and now has twice the contact surface. In addition, the new fans are now dust-repellent to IP5X and thus ensure a more reliable rotation speed and thus for improved airflow. The aluminum backplate covers the entire underside of the graphics card, reinforcing the board and protecting delicate components.
