Single fan radiator design & factory overclocking
The ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 Phoenix 6G has a base clock of 1,506 MHz. With GPU-Boost 3.0, it can be boosted to a boost clock of 1,708 MHz if required. The memory clock is 4,004 MHz (effectively 8,008 MHz) MHz. For the cooling of the graphics card, a single-fan cooling design with black and white radiator cover is used.

The GTX 1060's 6 GB of GDDR5 video memory is connected to the GPU via a 192-bit memory interface, resulting in a memory bandwidth of 192 GB / s. The GP106 graphics chip has 1,280 shader units, called NVIDIA CUDA cores.

The GTX-1060 graphics card series supports DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies including NVIDIA Ansel, Gameworks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX, and Simultaneous Multi-Projection (SMP). SMP 4.0 offers great advantages for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.

Thanks to SMP 4.0, Pascal supports 16 simultaneous viewports that enable a much more realistic display on multiple monitors or curved displays. In particular, gambling in Virtual Reality (VR) benefits from the new technology, as it can render two viewports in one go. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also has a lower number of calculated pixels.

The GeForce GTX 1060 operates with a TDP of only 120 watts and it is recommended to use a power supply with a minimum power of 400 watts. The GeForce GTX 1060 has two HDMI 2.0b ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a dual-link DVI output. The HDMI ports support HDCP 2.2 and can send and receive encrypted signals.

In order to realize the full potential of the card in the future, new drivers from NVIDIA or ASUS should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
