Once again AMD brings the second modern FX generation processors heavy equipment at the start to make the competition look old. The bulldozer architecture of the Zambezi CPUs has been redesigned, is now called Piledriver and is used in the desktop processors called Vishera.

The compute hearts, manufactured in 32 nm, are used in the already well-known AMD socket AM3 +, thus the chip manufacturer continues the beautiful tradition of high compatibility over several CPU generations. Together with the very moderate purchase price of the Visheras, the Piledriver architecture becomes a very affordable affair.

And for his money, the buyer gets a lot of computing power! This is at the same rate - due to the revisions - between 7 and 8 percent above the bulldozer level. The FX-8350 offered here has four Piledriver modules, from which eight integer cores draw their strength, whereby 8 MB L3-Cache are available.

The clock of the FX-8350 is already in the basic level at an enormous 4,000 MHz and increases under heavy load of individual cores via Turbo Core 3.0 up to 4,200 MHz. The integrated dual-channel interface officially supports DDR3 memory up to 1,866 MHz. This speed-spoiled users are well prepared for the most demanding games and applications.

This boxed version of the processor includes a matching CPU cooler from AMD.
