This new AMD Athlon X4 845 desktop processor is delivered here in the boxed version with a revised low-noise cooler that is designed for 65 Watt TDP. The most important innovation of the CPU cooler is the enlarged and thus cool stronger fan - now with red paint - its volume compared to its predecessor, the same capacity was reduced while simultaneously increasing the air flow rate. At the bottom plate already ready thermal paste is further applied so that the cooler can be mounted directly.

Description

Although the AMD Athlon X4 845 has to get as pure CPU without integrated graphics unit, he is technically one of the top models of the newest APU generation named Carrizo and is doing for those buyers who wish to relocate to the modern FM2 + platform and the low cost CPU wish to supplement with a dedicated graphics card. He goes back to 2 MB L2 cache and uses two Excavator modules (total 4 CPU cores), the highest level of evolution introduced by the Bulldozer architecture modular design.

The Carrizo APUs were originally designed primarily for notebook and embedded market and are distinguished in addition to high energy efficiency by a further increase in per-clock performance and also bring an extensive feature range with, such as AES encryption, AMD-V- virtualization technology or SSE and AVX instruction set extensions. The fabricated chip in 28 nm clocked into the basic level of 3.500 MHz and can increase via Turbo Core 3.0 under load and the clock of single cores up to 3,800 MHz.

Also on the desktop to reflect the internal improvement of the FM2 + processor-with Excavator technology in the low TDP (Thermal Design Power) of only 65 watts. In addition, the CPU combines several other important functions in it, which were formerly separately vorfand in the chipset on the motherboard, such as the memory controller with a native support for DDR3 memory up to 2133 MHz clock. Graphics cards are addressed with this CPU eight PCI Express 3.0 lanes, enabling full power delivery of the GPU.

This boxed version of the processor include a matching low-noise CPU cooler AMD supplied.
