To counter this, many users populate their flash drives with passive heat spreaders. The ADATA XPG Storm goes one step further and is an active cooler for M.2 SSDs in 2280 format. In addition, the SSD cooler is equipped with RGB LED lighting.

ADATA combines the XPG Storm, a red anodized aluminum heat sink with a black plastic top, which contains a small fan and is decorated with two light strips and the illuminated XPG logo. The overall height of the XPG Storm is 2.4 inches. The M.2 SSD cooler can be powered via a 4-pin MOLEX directly on the power supply or via a 3-pin fan connection via the mainboard. A 4-pin RGB header connects the RGB LED lighting.
