The container itself is made of borosilicate glass, which in contrast to the Plexiglas commonly used for tube expansion tank has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube of 150 ml variant has an outer diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 millimeters. Bases and covers, however, are made of Delrin, each with two G1 / 4-inch ports and are connected inside the tube by a steel rod.
