The EC1-A or EC2 A ZOWIE kept all these progress, but returned to the classic black and put the ultramodern ADNS-3310 as a sensor, as already has been incorporated in the FK series.

The optical Avago ADNS-3310 is the admission to ZOWIEs claim to always deliver the maximum amount of technology and precision that is currently possible. While the predecessor called ADNS-3090 was an outstandingly good sensor, but the 3310 enables with maximum 3,200 dpi and three other, lower resolution levels more flexibility - and can it purely numerical technically at the highest DPI stage in touch with some laser mouse. The lift-off distance (LOD) of just 1.5 to 1.8 mm height is on absolute elite level.

The palm area of ZOWIE EC2-A consists of the rough, rubber-free and extremely resistant surface of the FK. This provides high robustness at the same time excellent grip and is particularly players with a tendency to sweaty palms contrary, because the coating can be cleaned very easily. The matt black surface material is a kind of rubber, but smooth and fine touch and a higher resistance to wear and tear provides a pure plastic.

When EC2-A, it is possible to adjust by simultaneously plugging the cable and holding a button, the USB report rate (polling rate) of the gaming mouse maintained at 125, 500 or 1,000 Hz. Due to this solution, no driver installation is required, all the important settings are made directly on the mouse and stored by it. The mouse wheel is the way to optical scanning, whereby no mechanical wear can occur. It has 16 dots and a reduced rolling resistance for fast scrolling. In addition, many users of the relatively small clicking resistance will appeal. The two meter mouse cable is very flexible in order not to restrict the comfortably lightweight 5-button mouse in their freedom of movement even when the matt black ZOWIE EC2-A.
