A new benchmark in the field of active HDD cooling and insulation is set by the Rev 2.0 of the successful silent star HDD water cooler series. The silent star HD Dual rev2.0 cools and muffles two SATA HDDs in a unique way so far.
The cooling blocks are made from solid copper, paired with covers made from black POM. The cooling performance is thanks to this mixed design at its best. In combination with the high-grade plastic outstanding decoupling of the hard drives is achieved. Stainless steel pipes connect the cooling blocks. All channels in the cooler were widely machined to allow the best possible flow rates, the connectors are G1 / 4 "
A highlight of the new version is the Possibility to additionally cool the HDD's electronics. An optionally available SILENTstar bottom plate can then be mounted.
The stainless steel casing of the cooler is closed and additionally has a two-layer insulation integrated. The insulation is composed of high density foamed plastics in a heavy bitumen layer. This combination Ensures that both vibrations as well as high-frequency noise is absorbed by the HDD.
