The Viewsonic VX2778-SMHD: Multimedia monitor for games & entertainment

With the VX2778-SMHD, Viewsonic shows us a powerful 27-inch monitor, specially designed for gaming and entertainment. The gigantic spectrum of features convinces almost every fan of the well-maintained PC entertainment. The monitor follows the motto: "Best possible equipment at a solid price".

This applies to technology and functions as well as to design. The VX2778-SMHD has the claim to leave no wishes of the players open. The highly developed IPS panel convinces with 16.7 million colors through accurate and vivid colors as well as constant brightness values, no matter what angle of the display the display is viewed.

The Viewsonic VX2778-SMHD also has a so-called ViewMode function, which allows switching between different display settings. There are five presets for "Game", "Movie", "Web", "Text" and "Mono". These presets optimize the gamma curve, the color temperature, the contrast and the brightness.

The integrated FlickerFree technology as well as the blue-light reduction prevent fatigue of the eyes. The LED background lighting of the panel alternates between on / off cycles to adjust the brightness level. The resulting flickering bombardes the human eye with considerably varying brightness. Since the pupils must constantly expand and narrow because of the fluctuating light intensity, this "flicker" tires the eyes. The FlickerFree technology avoids low-brightness levels, reducing flickering of the LED backlight and protecting the eye.

The VX2778-SMHD, which is visibly rather unimpressive in the matte black with silver accents, is equipped with two integrated 2-watt loudspeakers, which provide for rich stereo sound. For connection to terminals, there is a DisplayPort, Mini-DisplayPort and HDMI connection on the device, as well as an audio input and a headphone connection.
