Overview

Only a few enclosures can accommodate up to now in the standard Thin-Mini-ITX. The Silverstone PT13 Petit supports this form factor, which was created by Intel with in-house boards (e.g., DH-61AG or DQ77KB). Since the mainboards are extremely compact and superflach manufactured, corresponding cases should of course be dimensioned as small as possible, in order not to thwart the advantages of Thin-Mini-ITX.

Silverstone pushes this idea with the PT13B offered here in black and shows a mini-case, which with its small dimensions is to be described as ultracompact and hardly more extensively than a large handler fails. It nevertheless takes 1.4 liters of hardware - that means, in addition to the thin mini ITX board together with a maximum (30 mm high) cooler, even a 2.5-inch drive (SSD or HDD) fits into it .

The cooling of the housing itself is passively designed, so there is no active case ventilation, but rather large ventilation holes in the sides as well as the cover, in order to guarantee an excellent heat exchange with the surrounding air. To be easy to install into the tiny SST-PT13, Silverstone has designed the complete top and front, which consists of one and the same aluminum cast, fold-up.

So you can quickly get to everything under the hood. In the front side, two USB ports are inserted on the right. In the left-hand area, there are power buttons and status LEDs. In addition, there are two antenna openings next to the recess for the I / O shield of the mainboard. Thanks to the included stand, the Silverstone SST-PT13B can also be used standing upright.

An external power supply is also included. It has a total of 120 watts of power and provides enough power to power a system built into the petit. An efficiency of 88% as well as various protective circuits make the compact power supply an ideal companion for the SST-PT13B thin-mini-ITX housing.
