The PowerColor Radeon RX 570 Red Dragon has a dual fan cooler, which allows this RX 570 to be driven to a high boost rate of 1,350 MHz. The semi-passive design of the cooler always ensures adequate cooling combined with low noise. Using double-blade III technology, 20% more airflow is generated than with conventional fans.

The AMD Radeon RX 570 in detail

The Radeon RX 570 is AMD's premium HD gaming graphics card from the RX-500 graphics card series and is particularly attractive in conjunction with a FreeSync 2 monitor for price-conscious gamers. The Polaris 20 graphics chip of the RX 570 is a "refresh" of the Polaris 10 of the RX 470 and has the same number of shaders, 2.048 as its predecessor. However, the Radeon RX 570 has higher Boostclocks than its equivalent from the RX-400 series due to the optimization of the manufacturing process.

Based on AMD's fourth-generation GCN architecture and fabricated in the 14-nm FinFET LPP process, the Radeon RX 570 has a very low TDP of only 150 watts. This is possible, among other things, by large jumps in the control, current savings and clock rate technologies, especially in direct comparison with the predecessor models such as the Radeon R9 390 with a significantly higher TDP of 250 watts.

The fourth-generation Graphics Core Next architecture (GCN 1.3) introduces features such as a command processor, a geometry processor, new multimedia cores, an optimized display engine, and an improved memory controller. Other supported technologies include Async Compute, Vulkan, DirectX 12, and AMD's FreeSync 2 technology.

Monitors can be connected to the graphics card via DVI-D, display port or HDMI. The EyeFinity technology allows you to connect up to four screens in a multi-display setup. The HDMI port in standard 2.0b transmits 4K / UHD resolution at 60 hertz and has HDCP 2.2 for sending and receiving encrypted signals.

In order to fully exploit the full potential of the card, new drivers from AMD or ASUS should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
