The future of interactive entertainment is yours!

Six free games when buying Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch

Six free games when you buy an Oculus Rift with Oculus Touch controllers
When you buy Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch together, there are a total of 6 free games with:

In addition to Robo Recall, an action-packed VR first-person shooter, the game package includes Lucky's Tale, a jumbo-shaped puzzle game, Quill, the Dead and Buried multiplayer actionshooter, the popular demo experience Toybox and the immersive VR experience medium in which objects in VR can be shaped, modeled, painted or otherwise created. The games are added directly during the registration of the devices in the games library.
Virtual reality is the future of interactive entertainment and this future has started in 2012 at Oculus VR. With a surprisingly successful kickstarter campaign, the young company was able to trigger a revival of the VR technology and collect 2,437 million US dollars for the development of the first developer kits. This is a whopping 974 per cent of the initial target required for a successful financing of the project. Supported by prominent video game developers and neat media rumble, the development continued steadily until Oculus was finally taken over by Facebook in 2014 - for now a total of 2 billion US dollars. The result of this financially strong partnership is this market-ready consumer version 1 of the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality glasses.

Highly developed VR technology of the latest generation

VR pioneer Oculus is equipping the Rift HMD with two OLED displays with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,200 pixels, each representing a wide 110-degree field of view. The image refresh rate of the two displays is 90 Hz, with each image enhancement taking place globally, i. E. Not in individual lines, such as in PC screens. To reduce motion blur and avoid Judder effects, no frame is displayed longer than 2 milliseconds. The distance between the two hybrid Fresnel lenses can be adapted to the eye distance of the user (interpupillary distance) via a rotary wheel on the underside of the spectacles. The distance between the lenses and the eyes themselves (diopter adjustment) can be adjusted via interchangeable, optional face pads, called "facial interfaces". In addition to the visual finesse, the 3D audio system with HRTF technology (head-related transfer function) and integrated earphones also ensures aurally immersion at the highest level thanks to the movement-dependent real-time sound. The headphones are removable so that alternatively also own headsets with sound directly from the PC can be used.

Constellation tracking system also in the motion controllers

Together, the sensors are able to locate the LEDs located in the sensor ring of the controllers, which emit infrared light and thus, from the point of view of the sensors, give a unique arrangement depending on the position. Based on this constellation, the sensors can register extremely precise movements in a 180-degree range (front facing) and reproduce them virtually 1: 1. The accuracy is less than one millimeter at very low latencies and delays below the perception threshold of most people. However, full 360-degree room-scale capabilities are only available with a third, optionally available IR-LED sensor.
