VR pioneer Oculus is equipping the Rift HMD with two OLED displays with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,200 pixels, each representing a wide 110-degree field of view. The image refresh rate of the two displays is 90 Hz, with each image enhancement taking place globally, i. E. Not in individual lines, such as in PC screens. To reduce motion blur and avoid Judder effects, no frame is displayed longer than 2 milliseconds. Together, the sensors are able to locate the LEDs located in the sensor ring of the controllers, which emit infrared light and thus, from the point of view of the sensors, give a unique arrangement depending on the position.
