Under the large matt black surfaces on the front and the lid, which seem to float with a little distance above the body, very large mesh surfaces hide, which together with the various possibilities for fan mounting ensure an excellent ventilation. As with some other newer models, NZXT also dispenses with 5.25 inch shafts, which in turn provides more space for fans and radiators as well as internal drives, but on the other hand, the design of the front is much more elegant - as if from a single Molding.

At the top and at the top, there are three 120 or two 140 mm slots for fans, which can also accommodate radiators - up to 280-dual or even 360-triple heat exchangers. For a housing of the compact class a remarkably good water cooling preparation! If you want to leave it with fans, you will also be pleased with the large 140 mm model, which NZXT has pre-installed in the rear - behind the front are three standard 120 mm models.

In addition, a fan distributor has been integrated into the Noctis 450 ROG, to which up to seven 3-pin fans and a PWM fan can be connected, which is exactly sufficient for a full-featured system with fans as well as for the CPU cooler. Other features include the large window in the left side panel and the ASUS Aura support, which perfectly matches the rest of the hardware to the stylish under-floor lighting, the housing LEDs, and the illuminated logo in the power supply cover. Thanks to the power supply cover, the power supply unit as well as the cabling are protected against glare, thus providing a tidy interior.

The power supply is thus not only invisible, but also largely decoupled from the rest of the interior. Thus the processor, graphics card and memory on the one hand and the power supply on the other do not unnecessarily mutually heat up. All cables are routed from the Shroud behind the mainboard tray, for which space between 17 and 32 mm is available. Thanks to numerous, partially rubberized openings all components are ideally reached and the visible cable paths remain short. Two audio, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports complete the lush features of the enclosure.

In the Noctis 450 ROG there are no "HDD cages" in the narrow sense, in which several drives are inserted per Cage, but five individual slots for a 3.5 inch hard disk (or alternatively 2.5 inch). What is the advantage here? You can remove each module individually, in order to make room at a certain height of an overlapping graphics card (up to 40.6 cm!), And you do not have to do without a stroke on several hard disks or SSDs. Another mounting location is on the bottom of the case and another two on the top of the power supply cover, each with the option of using both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives.
