This RAID controller waterblock was specially designed for the following controllers:

- Adaptec RAID 5805(Z) Series

These controllers are only cooled with a small passive heatsink which will run very hot depending on the load of the controller. As the card is basically mounted "heads down" natural convection is reduced to a bare minimum, hence requiring active airflow. But in a watercooled PC this airflow is often lacking.

Hence this waterblock is the perfect expansion if you are already using a watercooled system.

IMPORTANT: The de-installation of the stock chipset cooler may void your warranty, please work accordingly careful when mounting this product. The included spacer rings are necessary for installation if the thread length of your fittings is more than 4mm. If you do not use the spacer rings the fittings will push the waterblock open, resulting in a leak!

We are not responsible for any damages resulting from or during  installation of this product and will not be liable.

Tipp: Adaptec uses a thermal glue on their waterblocks and additonally secures the heatsink with a plastic clip. Please first remove the clip and afterwards carefully heat the heatsink (hairdryer or similar) and remove the heatsink from the controller chip. Possible residues of the thermal glue can be removed with cleaning benzine or similar before mounting of the waterblock. Please use non-conductive thermal compound such as the Arctic Cooling MX series when mounting this product!

Please note that thanks to the special design no additional slot is lost! Connection threads are integrated on both sides for maximum flexibility in fitting positioning. Should multiple controllers be used we may be able to provide you with special connector pieces upon request for connection of multiple of these controllers!
