For this mainboard, the Southbridge is passively cooled in general, actually sufficient for so-called standard configurations. However, if you comprehensive HDD / SSD / RAID configurations operate, it is recommended to cool the Southbridge with water, the only way to permanently stable operation is possible!

This cooler has been designed to place the assembly on the one hand rotated 180 degrees and thus the position of the connections can be made variable. In addition, this is still cooler by about 8mm 'moved' run by specially recessed retaining nuts in the rails. Thus many Positioniereungen are possible.
