Inno3D GeForce GTX 1070 Twin X2 with dual fan cooler
The Inno3D GeForce GTX 1070 Twin X2 has a base clock of 1,506 MHz. With GPU-Boost 3.0 it can be increased to a boost clock of 1.683 MHz. The storage clock is at 4,000 MHz (effectively 8,000 MHz). A dual fan cooler design is used to cool the graphics card.
The Inno3D GTX 1070 is equipped with an in-house dual-fan radiator design to keep the temperature running smoothly. Several heatpipes guide the heat from the GPU into an aluminum cooling block, on which two large axial fans provide ventilation. The two slot high cooling solution is a very quiet alternative to the reference layout and works very efficiently.
GeForce GTX 1070: Gaming power for VR and 4K!
The 8 GB video memory of the GeForce GTX 1070 is connected to the GPU via a 256-bit memory interface. The GP104 graphics chip of the GTX 1070 has 1,920 CUDA cores and the computing power of the GTX 1070 is 6.5 TFLOPS. This makes the GeForce GTX 1070 slightly higher than the GeForce GTX Titan X, the flagship of the Maxwell GPU series!
The GTX-1070 graphics card family supports DirectX 12 and current gaming technologies, including NVIDIA GameWorks, Warp, Stereo-X, VR-Audio, PhysX and SMP (Simultaneous Multi-Projection). The latter is supported in version 4.0 and offers great advantages, especially for VR, curved displays and multi-display setups.
Particularly when gambling in the Virtual Reality (VR), gamers profit from the new technology. With SMP 4.0, a total of 16 viewports and two viewports can be rendered in one run. By using multiple viewports, the rendered image also comes with a smaller number of calculated pixels, which greatly improves VR performance.
The GeForce GTX 1070 is capable of transmitting 4K / ultra-HD resolutions at 60 Hertz over three DisplayPort-1.4 and an HDMI 2.0b connection, the latter having HDCP 2.2, which allows it to send and receive encrypted signals ( 4K Blu-Rays / 4K streams). Alternatively, the GTX 1070 has a DVI-D (dual-link) output.
In order to exploit the full potential of the card in the future, new drivers from NVIDIA or Inno3D should be downloaded and installed at regular intervals.
