Overview
This kit is primarily intended for “roughing in” problem heat sinks and truing up bases. Examples of sinks that might need this kit are heat sinks with extremely convex or concave bases, anodized aluminum sinks with a tough outer wear layer, etc.
The standard kit without glass contains one each of the following 1/4 sheets of sandpaper:
• 400
• 600
• 800
• 1000
• 1200
• 1500
• 2000
• 2500 => Newly added - at no additional cost!
The kit also contains comprehensive instructions.
The sandpaper in this kit is industrial quality wet/dry sandpaper with silicon carbide abrasive grit. SC has a blocky crystalline structure; as it wears, the grains are friable and fracture, exposing new cutting edges. This allows SC paper to have long life and a consistent “cut”.
