Overview

DDR4 is the latest RAM standard specified by the JEDEC. The main advantages of DDR4 memory, which can only be used on compatible motherboards with DDR4 memory banks, is that it consumes less power because the reference voltage is only 1.2 V, while even DDR3 low-voltage memory is still at 1 , 35V. In addition, DDR4 also increases the clock rate range, which is also official, so that most of the latches work with more MHz. Finally, the memory density of DDR4 DIMMs has been increased compared to DDR3, so that individual modules can now have even higher maximum capacities.

This G.Skill Ripjaws SO-DIMM DDR4 RAM kit offers a total capacity of 32GB and consists of two single 16GB modules with black PCBs. Designed for notebooks, they serve the extension and acceleration of the entire system. Thanks to support for Intel's XMP 2.0, the correct settings are made automatically by compatible mainboards so that the HyperX Impact then clocks at 1.2 volts with 2.133 MHz and reaches latencies of CL 15-15-15-36. The memory can be used in this set in dual-channel mode if the motherboard provides the appropriate support. In addition, G.Skill grants a very long manufacturer warranty period of 10 years!
