EK Water Blocks now offers an inexpensive but effective solution to * passive and cool the chipset of X99 Motherboards from Gigabyte whose voltage converter with water. The delivery ie two heat sinks, the black-anodized passive heatsink for the X99 chipset and the nickel-plated water cooler for the power converter includes (VRMs) and adjacent transistors (MOSFETs) on the mainboard.

To follow all relevant sources of heat of the board are covered and remain in the overclocked state always in the green range of temperatures. To this end, the bottom of the VRM cooler was completely made of extremely pure electrolytic copper, which guarantees a high thermal conductivity.

But visually it is a real gem. Thus, the additional nickel layer over the copper not only a (oxidation) protective effect, but gives the water-block at the same time a very noble appearance. The lid is made in this release of transparent acrylic glass.

The connection is made via two G1 / 4-inch thread. However, connections are not included. To mount the chipset cooler aluminum thermal grease is necessary not included. However, suitable thermal pads for the MOSFET coolers are included.

Notes This heatsink is only suitable for special motherboards! Optionally present protective foil on the bottom must be removed prior to assembly. To install the EK-cooler, the original radiator has to be removed, thus a loss of warranty accompanies. All conversions done at your own responsibility! We assume no liability for damages resulting from corrupted or incorrect installation and improper use! EK strongly recommends the use of a corrosion protection in the coolant, unless they already have those. In no case accessories may be used which contain metal, otherwise an electrolytic process would use that ultimately removes the nickel layer.
