The aquainlet Pro 150 ml expansion tank is mounted directly on an aquastream XT or Eheim 1046 pump. The design of the expansion tank is perfectly matched to the pump. The expansion tank and pump form a unit after assembly. The guideways for the mounting plate are also continued in the expansion tank, so that for the first time stable mounting of the plate under the center of gravity of the unit is possible. This makes it easy to use decoupling rubbers or a shoggy sandwich.

The expansion tank is sealed by an O-ring when it is attached to the suction port of the pump, two locks snap into the pump housing and secure the expansion tank against being pulled off and twisting, thus preventing the pump from accidentally loosening the bayonet lock. Two connection threads offset by 90 ° (front and side) enable flexible installation of the return line, which means that the expansion tank can also be used optimally in tight spaces.

The aquainlet Pro 150ml expansion tank is closely related to the aqualis series and is also equipped with a tube made of borosilicate glass, which, in contrast to the acrylic glass often used for tube expansion tanks, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and has thermal resistance. The glass tube has an outside diameter of 50 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid are made of Delrin, the lid and base are connected by a stainless steel rod.
