With this expansion card from Angelbird for a free PCI Express x2 slot (or larger) it is possible to connect up to two additional SATA drives to a motherboard internally. The controller card is electrically connected to the PCIe standard 2.0 via two lanes, which allows a maximum write and read speed of 950 MB / s for the connected 2.5-inch hard disks or solid-state drives.

The SATA storage media can also be configured by the bootable card in RAID modes 0 and 1. The controller is compatible with many operating systems and supports NCQ, AHCI, SPAN and TRIM.
